I woke up this morning thinking about how lucky a I woke up this morning thinking about how lucky a thing it is to be able to have access to beautiful and wild natural spaces like this, to have a body that allows me to explore the way I do, to have the ability and moreover to be surrounded by people who empower me to chase my dreams. I am unwilling to accept the world as it is. Fighting for what is right has to be what always guides us. We cannot keep living without regard for the earth. We can’t accept hate aimed at our fellow human, for all hate erodes the humanity of us all. Yes, I accept that I was born in a country that has chosen to elect a hateful and immoral vision for the future. But I do not accept that it is ok or right. I believe that we must be able to draw clear lines regarding what is right and wrong. And say with resolute clarity that the decision made by the United States to elect hate, ignorance, bigotry and selfishness is wrong! Let’s not allow this moment to defeat us, but instead awaken in us once again the resolve to fight. Sending so much love to everyone in the world, regardless of whether you agree with this sentiment of not. LOVE must prevail🫶

An emotional reflection from the 2023 AZTR: I rec An emotional reflection from the 2023 AZTR: I recorded this just outside of Payson, AZ last year while racing the Arizona Trail Race. Plagued by heat and gut issues, the AZTR was nothing short of disappointing and frustrating. I put a lot of pressure on myself going into the race and knew I was capable of a much stronger ride than I was able to do at the time. Sitting with disappointment and a self-created sense of failure was hard. It still can be. Looking back, this moment was pivotal in transforming how I sit with these feelings. I found the emotional strength to recognize that what I thought were failures was just growth in the making. Shifting from disappointment to gratitude for the difficult journey I had endured is what pushed me to see the race to the end! No matter how lofty or altruistic goals I may have for my platform as an athlete at large, I’ll never escape the human condition of self expectation and disappointment. The highs of notable results are nice, but being able to sit in the hard moments is invaluable! Sending so much love to all those out on the AZT right now. The Arizona Trail Race kicks off tomorrow morning! The Arizona Trail Race kicks off tomorrow morning!! This race didn’t go how I had hoped last year and made for a tough end to last years racing season. This is hands down the toughest ride I have done to date. And yet, I found myself saying to a friend how much “I love this trail” this morning😂 Thinking about the @azt300_800 continues to take a significant amount of real estate in my head and heart, and I can’t wait to give this epic route another go when life allows. Good luck to everyone lining up to take on this beast tomorrow. Will be following and sending my best to all🫶
It’s been a stunning fall here in Alaska🤩 Ha It’s been a stunning fall here in Alaska🤩 Had the chance to get away for a short overnight bikepacking mission on resurrection pass a couple weeks ago! What a gift to have such a magical playground in our backyard!
Following my first ride of the Baja Divide in 2021 Following my first ride of the Baja Divide in 2021, I knew I wanted to stay involved with supporting my uncle Bruce and the greater ALS community. I reached out to my cousin @airrosen, Bruce’s son, and said “Hey, I want to try this ultra-endurance bike racing thing and try to set the record on the Baja divide. What if you to come with me and document the ride to use as a fundraiser for ALS.” It was from that conversation that the Ride To Endure Project was born… I’m incredibly proud to have worked with Bruce and Aaron in starting the Ride to Endure Project and continue to be committed to our work in finding a cure for this disease. This Sunday the documentary Ride to Endure: A Journey for ALS to Set the Baja Divide FKT will be available to watch on the @theaudaciousreport YouTube channel.
